Montpellier Ward

Montpellier Ward consists of twelve side rooms based in the Trauma and Orthopaedic Unit in College Road Wing.

The type of patients we care for currently is changing over the next few months from August to include the majority of patients who will be undergoing Elective Orthopaedic Surgery. However we also admit and care for other patients under various specialities.

The ward is led by a Ward Manager Jan Barnard, assisted by a Charge Nurse Peter Hansraj, supported with Staff Nurses and Lead Health Care Assistant and Health Care Assistants.

We also have our own Ward Clerk and housekeeper. Student Nurses are also allocated to the ward as part of their training.

There are ten Orthopaedic Consultants who each have their own team of Doctors who are responsible for your care whilst you are on the ward.

We also have a team of Multidisciplinary staff to include Specialist Advanced Nurses, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, and Ward Pharmacist who work in teams to plan the delivery of your care.

The ward atmosphere is friendly and we aim to deliver a high standard of care in a safe environment.
