Rick Majkowski is an experienced orthopaedic and trauma surgeon who has been in consultant practice since 1994. His main interests and expertise are:
- Primary and revision hip and knee replacement in patients of all age groups, using tissue sparing techniques wherever possible (minimal access surgery, hip resurfacing and uni-compartmental knee replacement).
- The treatment of younger patients with hip pain, using hip arthroscopy (keyhole surgery) as a diagnostic and treatment tool.
- The treatment of common knee problems including  meniscal tears, anterior knee pain and patellar instability using arthoscopic (keyhole) and minimal access techniques.
- Paediatric orthopaedic surgery with an emphasis on the treatment of congenital hip dysplasia, paediatric hip disorders and adolescent knee pain.
