Run a Half Marathon for Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity!
If you would like a new challenge, then why not take on a half marathon and raise money for your local hospitals?
Recently, a group of fundraisers took part in the Forest of Dean Spring Half Marathon to support our CT scanner appeal. Our group of runners included Dr Becky Woolf, who works in the Emergency Department (ED) at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust along with other staff members; Lisa Riddington, Library and Knowledge Services Manager, and Margaret Collins, Specialist Nurse for the Nutrition Support Team. Collectively, runners raised a fantastic £880, another great stride towards our target for the CT scanner appeal.
If you would like to run a half marathon to fundraise for Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity then book a place on your chosen half marathon and get in touch with our charity team and we can help you to set up a fundraising page.
There are a number of areas of the hospital you can fundraise for. For example, you may choose to support Focus, our charitable fund for the Gloucestershire Oncology Centre, raising funds to make a direct impact for local cancer patients and their families. Recently, Focus have funded a number of projects, from sky ceilings to improve the environment in the Oncology Centre to our first Focus Research Radiographer staff role, enabling local patients to benefit from emerging radiotherapy techniques. To find out more about Focus visit our Focus page.
Alternatively you may choose to support our CT scanner appeal. This would help towards raising a further £1.2m to fund three new CT scanners and two new mobile digital x-ray machines for Gloucestershire. Scanners are vital for early detection, diagnosis and treatment and can help save lives in an emergency when every second counts. To find out more about our CT scanner appeal visit our appeal page.
