Heart Appeal Reaches New Heights with Bristol Bungee Jump
Thanks to the local business community nearly £4,000 has been raised for our Gloucestershire Heart Appeal with a charity bungee jump!
George Davies, Hannah Hughes and Graham Davies from Central Roofing & Building Services, Sam Clayden and Thomas Broady from Alumasc Roofing, Tom Quick from AJ Gallagher and Laurence Richard from HSBC all travelled to Bristol Amphitheatre to take part in an epic 160ft bungee jump suspended over the docks.
Hannah Hughes, Business Development Manager from Central Roofing, was one of the team who stepped up and took the leap on the day. “We were excited to be involved in the bungee jump – although personally I’d say it was a terrifying experience! We chose to fundraise for the Gloucestershire Heart Appeal as we have been working alongside the team for several years and wanted to give something back.”
“Thank you everyone who has supported us in raising over £2,000 so far and to Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for letting us be part of such a special day.”
The money raised from the bungee jump is being put towards our Gloucestershire Heart Appeal to fund new state-of-the-art echo scanner equipment. This technology will help support our Cardiology team’s lifesaving work with cutting-edge, real-time 3D imaging to help with assessment and diagnosis.
Karen Organ, Senior Fundraiser, was there on the day to offer her support to everyone taking part. “We were all amazed at how brave our charity jumpers were. I went up to the top of the bungee with Hannah and I cannot believe anyone would willingly jump from that height - it was so high!”
“Despite the nerves, everyone took the leap on the day and we couldn’t be more grateful. They have raised a fabulous amount for the Gloucestershire Heart Appeal and we are so appreciative for their continued support.”
