A driving force behind our Trust is the active involvement of members of the public, patients and staff through our Council of Governors. Our governors represent the views and interests of Trust members and the local community, to ensure our Trust is rooted in its community needs.

The Council of Governors meet 6 times a year to provide feedback on developments and decisions at our hospitals. These meetings are open to the public, who are welcome to attend.

Any Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust member can nominate themselves for governor vacancies in their constituency.
Elections are held most years, and the term of office for being a governor is 3 years.
