When you find out you’re pregnant, you will need to book your first appointment with one of our midwives. This is called your booking appointment.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Please register for your first appointment with your midwife using our online booking system (see link below) Please register when you are approximately 6-8 weeks pregnant or as soon as possible if you are more than 8 weeks pregnant or unsure of your dates.

Your first appointment is called your booking appointment; it should happen between 8-10 weeks pregnant, so we can have a detailed discussion about your personal and family history, and any relevance this has on your pregnancy. We will also help you create a pregnancy care plan, and discuss your options for screening tests.

Your midwife will ask you questions about you and your family’s health, so you should come prepared with any relevant information Find out what to expect at your first midwife appointment.

If you have not received a letter with an appointment for your dating scan at 12 weeks by the time you are 11 weeks pregnant, please contact us via ghn-tr.cghobstetricus@nhs.net

Emails are checked a minimum of once daily and you should receive a follow up call or email within 3 working days

Once you have completed the online booking form, a midwife will be in touch by 9 weeks of pregnancy to book your first appointment. This call may appear as an unknown number
