Revolutionary smart watch wearable device technology is transforming care for Parkinson’s patients

PKG Monitor Thanks to your support, fifty Parkinson’s Kinetograph (PKG) smart watches have been funded that enable specialist doctors to remotely evaluate a patient’s condition from their own home.
PKG Monitor

They continuously monitor a patient’s movements, activity, sleep pattern and concordance with medications. This improves the quality of clinic consultations and allows the clinical team to tailor treatment as per individual needs. It takes personalised care plans to the next level.

This innovative technology has helped us to see how a patient could be feeling over an extended period, rather than just on the day of the clinic. The process is extremely straight forward and patients have found it easy to use and service provided is prompt and time efficient. We’d like to thank everyone who has donated to help make this technology accessible to patients in Gloucestershire.
