More than 111,000 people have accessed our online Hand Clinic information pages since they launched last year, highlighting growing demand for reliable, easy-to-understand information about hand and wrist conditions.

The Hand Clinic at Gloucestershire Hospitals is a consultant-led surgical unit with a patient-centred and multi-disciplinary approach to helping people manage their hand and wrist problems. It provides diagnosis, treatment and ongoing care for a wide range of hand, wrist and upper limb conditions and injuries.
Alongside appointments, investigations, hand therapy and surgery, patients can now access a comprehensive online information resource designed to help them better understand their condition and treatment options.
Available on the Trust website, the Hand Clinic pages cover dozens of common injuries and conditions, offering clear explanations, treatment information and guidance to support patients before and after their appointments.

The online resource continues to evolve, with new information being added and video content currently being developed to support patients who prefer to access information in different ways.
For many patients, one of the biggest benefits is being able to revisit information after their appointment, share it with family members and access it whenever they need it.
Accessibility
Because the information is available online, it can also be translated into other languages using browser translation tools or online translation services.
The pages are also compatible with screen readers, helping people with visual impairments to access the information independently.
