From 13 July 2026
Patients can still access the external Frailty Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) area via a dedicated walkway, as indicated on the map below.
- For patients, these works mean that vehicles will no longer be able to park directly outside the Frailty SDEC.
- To support patients who are frail or require assistance, four dedicated parking spaces have been reserved on the outer edge of the Tower Car Park
- A clearly signed pedestrian walkway will provide safe access for patient collection.
- Internal access to the Frailty Unit is not affected.
Staff Parking: Gallery Car Park
The Gallery Wing staff car park at GRH will be handed over to contractors for the new department of critical care (DCC) build from Monday 13 July.
For colleagues who use the car park behind Gallery Wing, you will need to use alternative parking in the Tower Block car park or elsewhere on site.
Please refer to the guidance on the intranet regarding alternative parking arrangements during the Tower Block works, which includes temporary parking at the University of Gloucestershire and St Peter's School until the end of August.
