Johanna fosters a welcoming environment, mentoring volunteers and coordinating resources to ensure patients’ needs are met. Her personal touch, including reassurance and encouragement, helps patients navigate treatment with confidence.

Camilla Sweet
Neonatal, Paediatrics
Camilla has provided outstanding care for families navigating complex neonatal situations, including premature discharge home on oxygen. She combines clinical expertise with empathy, guiding parents with reassurance, personalised advice, and hands-on support. Her calm presence and attention to detail help families feel confident and supported.
Camilla also mentors colleagues, promoting patient- and family-centred care throughout the team. Her dedication, compassion, and professionalism have left a lasting impact on patients, families, and the wider paediatric service.
Dr Sean Brown
Oncology
Dr Brown is recognised for exceptional compassion, patience and bedside manner. Supporting a patient and their family through a lung cancer diagnosis, he provided clear explanations, personalised guidance, and reassurance. Bincy has profoundly impacted patients with her compassion, calmness, and dedication. One patient described how her support during a two-month admission for a severe eating disorder saved their life. She provides reassurance, guidance and humanity during moments of vulnerability, helping patients feel safe, heard, and valued. Her leadership is evident across the ward, where staff respect her calm authority and professionalism.
