Bethany qualified as a pharmacy technician two years ago and has quickly become a key team member, taking on a lower management role while training dispensary staff. She also manages ward responsibilities and monitors all controlled drugs, fulfilling a demanding role with enthusiasm and dedication.

Bethany consistently goes the extra mile for patients and has boosted team morale through wellbeing initiatives such as book clubs, sewing groups and games lunches. Her professionalism, positivity and commitment to developing junior staff make her an outstanding rising star.

Kaylea has excelled in her secondment to the Quality Team, leading the Martha’s Rule Improvement Project to embed patient and family involvement in safety across all four divisions. While completing her Degree Apprenticeship in Healthcare Management, she has organised meetings, resources and communications with precision, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes.

Kaylea has demonstrated exceptional adaptability, professionalism and commitment far beyond her current role. Her success earned recognition at the University Apprentice of the Year awards and marks her as a shining example of apprenticeship in action.
