Each November, our Staff Awards provide a welcome opportunity to focus on something uplifting: the remarkable people who make Gloucestershire Hospitals what it is.

Every day, across our hospitals and services, colleagues care for patients, support families and help one another. They bring expertise, compassion and commitment to their work while continuing to improve services and look for ways to provide even better care.

Since our 2025 Staff Awards, we have introduced new values and a new strategy, setting out who we are, the standards we set for ourselves and our ambition to keep improving the care and support we provide. Our values of being caring, compassionate, inclusive and accountable reflect what matters to us and this year’s shortlisted candidates show those values in practice across our organisation.

The stories in this brochure recognise colleagues and teams who have made a real difference to patient care, strengthened support for patients and families, contributed to improvements within our services and helped create a positive working environment for those around them. Together they provide a snapshot of the talent and dedication that we see at Gloucestershire Hospitals.

"Thank you to all our colleagues for the work you do for our patients, our communities and one another. We are proud to recognise your achievements."

While acknowledging there is always more to do, it is so important to say how proud we are of what has been achieved over the past year. Reading these nominations is a reminder of the difference our colleagues make every day and the role they will play in shaping the future of our Trust.

Congratulations to everyone shortlisted for an award and thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate a colleague or team. While only a small number of people can receive an award each year, the achievements recognised here reflect the contributions being made across our hospitals and services every day.

Thank you to all our colleagues for the work you do for our patients, our communities and one another. We are proud to recognise your achievements.
