The MND team provides assessment, advice and information for people with a diagnosis of motor neurone disease

- Lauren Boote – Motor Neuron Disease Specialist Practitioner
They also work closely with other NHS Departments such as the Palliative Care Team, Speech and Language Team (SALT) and Community Neurology Services.
How to make contact with the MND Team
If you are struggling with symptom management:
- Contact us via the MND helpline on 0300 422 6404, This is accessible Monday-Friday 08:00am-4:00pm (excluding bank holidays). There may not always be someone available to answer the phone therefore we encourage you to leave a voice message with your name, contact details and reason for calling.
Our nurse aims to get back to you as soon as possible to assess your ongoing symptoms. She may ask about:
- Symptoms you are experiencing
- Duration of time you have been experiencing these
- Current medication
