• Glutamate receptors AMPA1 & AMPA2 and the metabotrophic GABAb receptor, have been reported in patients with paraneoplastic syndrome and classical limbic encephalitis with early and prominent seizures.
• Test performed by Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Sample Requirements

Clotted blood. (No patient preparation or special handling required).

Adult

5ml Gold-top SST tube or 3.5 ml Rust-top gel tube (Trust users only).

Paediatric

1ml Paediatric Serum sample.
