- This is a test for infection in travellers to tropical regions
- A travel history and date of onset of illness is mandatory when requesting this investigation
- Dengue nucleic acid detection assays (e.g. PCR) can be performed on serum or EDTA blood samples. Please discuss with the laboratory.
