Notes
- Useful in the diagnosis of autoimmune bullous skin diseases (pemphigus vulgaris and bullous pemphigoid).
- Indirect Immunofluorescence testing (first line test) performed at the Immunology Department, Southmead Hospital.
- Secondary ELISA testing for BP180, BP230, Desmoglein and Anti-Collagen VII is referred to St Johns Institute of Dermatology. This may be reflex tested in challenging cases or can be requested if clinically indicated.

Clotted blood. (No patient preparation or special handling required)
