The majority of our immunology tests are performed in-house, but a number are sent to specialist reference centres. A clinical immunology service is also provided for patients with primary immune deficiencies and allergies.

In our clinics and laboratory we investigate people who suffer from certain infections to test whether we can identify a problem with their immune system. Most people who suffer from recurrent infections have a completely normal immune system.  However a small number of adults and children are born with mild or severe abnormalities of their immune systems which make them more prone to infection, sometimes with serious consequences. We are also involved with testing and treating all types of allergic disorders.
