4ml of blood taken into an EDTA tube

8.5ml of blood taken into a plain gel tube
Stool or urine samples may also be required
Required information
- Relevant clinical details, including symptoms and date of onset
- A detailed travel history is essential including district and country visited and travel dates
- History of pre-travel vaccination and prophylaxis

Transport as soon as possible at ambient temperature
If transport is delayed, store at fridge temperature
