Eyelid surgery is usually carried out under local anaesthetic as a day case. If you have asked for sedation to relax you during the operation, you will be given special instructions about eating and drinking before the procedure.

The Surgical Admissions Suite cares for patients who are having elective (planned) surgery and who are expected to stay in hospital overnight or longer.
