How long will I be in hospital?
It is not unusual for people to be anxious and it might be better to seek advice rather than worry.

All other medication can be taken as normal.
You may be given an antibiotic ointment to use on the wound for 7 days.
A local anaesthetic will be used to numb the area to be operated on. This will sting briefly while it is injected into the skin.

How will I be monitored?
