At 2:00pm dissolve the contents of 1 sachet of Picolax in 1 pint (500mls) of water and drink it over 10 to 20 minutes.
Although the test itself will take 10 to 25 minutes, you should allow 1½ hours for the appointment.
The dobutamine will be given intravenously by an infusion (drip) over about 10 to 15 minutes, via the cannula inserted into a vein in your arm.
If the ice pack is placed over a small, bony area, such as the ankle, it should stay on the area for 10 to 15 minutes.
Apply as a hot compress to the closed eyelids for about 5 to 10 minutes using gentle pressure.
