You may feel more tired in the weeks following your surgery if you do too much.
Although you do not need to remove every trace of sugar from your diet, you do need to make sure that it is low in sugar.
What to do in an emergency

Work within your energy limits, do not wait until you feel you have gone too far. Pace activities throughout the week.
You can eat and drink normally after discharge although we do recommend a lighter diet for today.
