What if I wear contact lenses?
It is important to let the staff know if you are pregnant or if you think that you may be pregnant.

If transport is delayed, refrigeration is preferable to storage at room temperature. Turnaround time 1 - 3 days

What if I need more support?
If you stay in overnight, your dressing may be changed before you go home if there has been any leakage.
If eye irritation persists, seek medical advice from your GP or NHS 111. If the Octenisan® wash is swallowed, do not induce vomiting.
If you have cellulitis
If unavoidable, samples can be stored refrigerated overnight.
Notes This test will not be repeated if it has been processed within the last 12 months.

If you are taking iron tablets, please stop taking them for 7 days before your appointment.

It will be easier if you choose a day when you will be at home for a complete 24 hour period. If you have to go out, do take your bottle with you.
