What if the patient is unable to give consent?

If you wish to make a formal complaint, please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison team.
You may not need a follow up appointment but if you have any concerns or if any of the following apply to you, please contact your GP for advice.

What should I do if I am unable to attend this appointment or wish to change the date?
If you want to lose weight, they can support you with this at a later date.
If you smoke, we strongly advise you to stop. Wound infection If your wound becomes infected, this is usually not serious but may require treatment.
If the nerve does become damaged your voice may sound weak and hoarse but this is usually temporary.
Please be careful on any stairs and have someone with you if you feel unsteady.
If you need to use eye drops and ointment, always remember to use the eye drops first.
If you are unable to keep the appointment for the procedure, please let the Booking Office know.
Remember to ask any healthcare staff who may prescribe or give you medicines to check if it has penicillin in it.
