MPox is a rare disease that is caused by infection with the Monkeypox virus.
About 30% of tests are positive by two weeks and about 80% by six weeks.
A small amount is also produced by ependymal cells.
All positive results are confirmed by paraneoplastic antibody line blot. Test performed by Immunology, North Bristol NHS Trust.
