Chemical Pathology
PTH can be assayed during a parathyroidectomy on an urgent basis (i.e. intra-operative PTH levels) however this must be booked with the laboratory at least a week in advance. Please contact the duty biochemist for further details if access to this service is required.

The clinical haematology department caters for patients with diseases of the blood, both malignant and non-malignant, and provides comprehensive diagnostic services and continuing management to these patients.
We are based at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and see patients who have either been referred to our service from the community (e.g. their GP) or those who have attended the Emergency Department following an acute illness or event such as a fall.
