We take great pride in delivering high quality acute services and we understand just how precious life is.

People entrust their lives to our care every day which is why we strive for excellence in everything we do. You could make a real difference to our patients’ lives by joining our team.

Our Trust

We are a large organisation, providing acute services to a large population in Gloucestershire and the surrounding counties.

Our workforce is almost 8,000 strong and our caring and dedicated staff provide outstanding patient centred care across a range of clinical areas.

We are committed to recruiting the best people to work with us to achieve our vision of providing Best Care for Everyone. Our success depends on the commitment and dedication of our staff, who are world leaders in healthcare, teaching and research.

Our services

Our Haematology service is part of the Trust’s Diagnostics and Specialities division, which provides a range of specialist services including:

  • pathology
  • oncology
  • physiotherapy
  • radiology

We provide a full range of diagnostic and clinical haematology services at Gloucestershire Royal and Cheltenham General Hospitals. Our Trust is JACIE accredited, which enables us to deliver haematopoietic stem cell transplant services.

Developing your career

We recognise the importance of continuing medical education and we encourage our consultant team to prioritise their professional development.

A mentoring scheme for new consultant staff is well established, and each new member of the team will be appointed a mentor shortly after they join.

You will be encouraged to be active in clinical research and clinical governance, and develop the Gloucestershire Safety and Quality Improvement Academy (GSQIA).
