Hypnobirthing classes

Our popular midwife-led NHS hypnobirthing courses are now available virtually for you and your birth partner.

Our hypnobirthing courses provide a combination of education, breathing and deep relaxation. They give you and your birth partner the tools and techniques you need to cope with labour and birth.

Hypnobirthing can help you work with your body, releasing the fears and worries of birth and replacing it with calmness and confidence. The courses are run by our midwives who are trained hypnobirth practitioners, and cover:

  • the process of labour and how to work with your body
  • the relationship between pain and labour
  • practice positions for birth
  • deep relaxation and breathing techniques
  • the impact of hormones on labour and birth
  • the importance of the birth environment and how to create a calm birth room

The online courses cost £100 per couple for 4 sessions, which includes:

  • 10 hours teaching for 6-8 couples or individuals
  • live instructions from our trained midwives
  • a book
  • a CD

You can attend from 28 weeks pregnant. Some concessionary prices are available, by contacting us at

In August, the classes run on a Thursday 6, 13, 20 and 27.

In September, the classes run on Tuesdays: 8, 15, 22 and 29 (6pm - 8.30pm)
