It can take up to 5 years for sensation to improve but often it will not return to pre-injury levels.

Most patients go back to work after 2 to 3 days, but some take longer. A sick note of up to a week can be given if needed.
Participants receive the injections 3 times in the first year and then once every 6 months, for 5 years.
