The consultant will see you in an outpatient clinic 2 to 3 weeks after your discharge to review your recovery progress.

Swelling and bruising This is usually at its worst 1 to 2 days after the surgery and can last up to 2 weeks.
Attachments usually last between 2-3 weeks.
The epidural is usually removed on day 3 after your surgery.
