A plaster cast is required for the first 7-10 days after surgery and the palm wound is sometimes kept open, again requiring about 4 weeks to heal.
You must stop taking any antihistamines for 7 days before your appointment and all inhaled medication for at least 12 hours.

If you have bandages, these can be removed after 2 days, but an elastic stocking should be worn continuously for a further 7 to 14 days, your clinician
The dressing on your neck can be removed after 7 days. The stitches at the exit site should be removed after 21 days.
You must take the following precautions for the first 7 days after each treatment: Flush the toilet twice after using it Wear disposable gloves when handling
You can remove the dressings on day 7 after the operation.

It is important that you drink 2 to 3 litres of fluid each day for 7 days.
The stitches will dissolve but may be removed in 7 days if they become sore, please contact your GP’s practice nurse.
There will be a number of people present (at least 7) in the operating theatre. They are there to ensure your safety.
The size of the wound will reduce and then disappear over the following 7 to 14 days.
The analysis process is very detailed and it will take about 7 to 10 days for the results to return.
