Will my ovaries be removed?
You will also be given instructions and a prescription for a strong laxative to be used a few days before your surgery.
A sick note of up to a week can be given if needed. A letter will be sent to you should you need a follow up appointment.
Some of your medications may be changed before discharge; this will be explained to you.
Whilst Mayhill Way will not be closed off, please be aware that when loaded with the Lab, the transport vehicle will be travelling at very low speed.
Once you start passing wind the tube will be removed and you will be able to drink larger amounts of fluid and food will gradually be introduced.
You will then be asked to sit at the laser machine and anaesthetic drops will be put in the eye(s) to be treated.
Samples greater than 24 hours old will not be tested.
The privacy of staff should be respected and they should be able to fulfil their job without being recorded.

Exceptions may be made for babies and renal patients. In other patients small samples will not be processed.
You will be taken into the scanning room where you will be asked to lie on a couch, fully clothed, for about 10 minutes while the machine takes images
