Dr Wheeler qualified at Sheffield University in 1989. Her paediatric training began in Birmingham continuing in Bristol and the South West. She was appointed as a Consultant in paediatrics at Cheltenham General Hospital and Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in March 2005. Her interest in paediatric allergy began in Bristol in 2002 and she continues to develop this interest with Paedatric Allergy clinics to the county.
