Our lab staff perform tests on tissues and fluids to help with diagnosis and treatment. Our pathology staff also provide blood tests at our hospitals and in the community.
Our birth centre in Cheltenham is run by midwives and has been specially designed to make your journey into parenthood as smooth as possible.
We are a small team of Specialist Nurses who are skilled in the assessment and management of children and young people with complex bladder and bowel issues in Gloucestershire.
Purpose
Cheltenham Surgeries are served by a four weekly ordering system. It is important that the order sheet (a new one is enclosed with each order indicating the next delivery date) is returned to Pathology Stores at least one week before the delivery is due. This helps ensure stores holds adequate supplies for all orders.

For polycythaemia;
You will already have been told by a member of the team during a telephone call and appointment letter that you must not eat anything for 6 hours before your procedure, this includes chewing gum or sucking sweets. You will be able to continue sipping clear fluids, including squash/cordials and fruit juice (without bits), right up until the time of your appointment.
Entry and exit via the Tower Block Entrance at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital (GRH) will be via an alternative entrance from Tuesday 29 April - Thursday 1 May inclusive
