Participants receive the injections 3 times in the first year and then once every 6 months, for 5 years.
Sessions run on the third Friday of each month from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Repeat this 4 or 5 times every day, if you can.
A reduction in parking charges takes the form of a parking permit for 1 week or 2 weeks.
Drink at least 2 litres of water (or non-sugary drinks) every day.
We advise you to take 2 paracetamol tablets/capsules an hour before your scheduled appointment time.
This procedure only takes 5 minutes or so and is performed under local anaesthetic.
We, therefore, advice you to take 2 paracetamol tablets/capsules 2 hours before your appointment.
The effect of the local anaesthetic will last for 1 to 2 hours after the injection.
Research has shown this treatment to be effective at lowering pressure 80% of the time, which is 4 out of every 5 patients.
Most patients go back to work after 2 to 3 days, but some take longer. A sick note of up to a week can be given if needed.
There are three grades of CIN 1, 2 or 3 depending on how many cells are involved.
We aim to carry out all of the tests and discussions within about 5 weeks.
