It will not give you doses of pain relief more often than every 5 minutes. This gives each dose time to work.
We would advise you to elevate your legs in this position for at least 2 hours in the morning, afternoon and evening - a total of 6 hours a day.
SABR treatment is usually given in 3, 5 or 8 treatments on alternate days (Monday to Friday).
Alternatively, blood samples can be taken at the Quayside Community Diagnostic Centre, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (appointments only).
You will be seen for an outpatient appointment about 6 weeks following your discharge.
There are four blocks of dates that this will be happening: 12 - 16 September inclusive (5 days) 26 - 29 September inclusive (4 days) 11 –13 October inclusive
Recovery times vary from person to person, but side effects should gradually improve over the following 6 to 12 weeks.
Intestinal gel (levodopa 20 mg/ml + carbidopa 5 mg/ml)
