In 2013, I celebrated my 36th birthday with my twin brother Tim, with a family lunch, a trip to the Lego store, followed by an appointment that night for a short stay at Royal Liverpool Hospital.
I graduated from Univeristy College London in 1998. Having developed an interest in foot and ankle surgery early on as a junior doctor, I went on to obtain my higher surgical training in London, which I was able to tailor to my interests. My specialist foot and ankle training was completed with multiple fellowships. I spent a year on two fellowships at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, eight months at The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and a month at the Russian Ilizarov Scientific Centre for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics.

You have been asked to produce a sample of semen for analysis (examination). Semen analysis is looking closely at the sample, through a microscope, to see how many moving sperm cells are present and whether they are normal in appearance. The quality of semen is a vital factor in fertility and for this reason careful examination of a semen sample is of great importance. This examination needs to be done in a laboratory and may need repeating.
