If we do not ask you to be “nil by mouth” then please do not go nil by mouth for hours before the procedure as this will unnecessarily dehydrate you.
You will need to be nil by mouth/nil by PEG for 6 hours before your appointment time.
You can drink water unless you are advised to remain nil by mouth. You will be seen by a member of the team, who will complete a set of observations.
Collection method The kit contains 4 collection tubes:Grey cap: Nil control Green cap: TB antigen 1 Yellow cap: TB antigen 2 Purple cap: Mitogen control
If your procedure is planned for early morning, you will not be able to eat or drink after midnight the day before (known as nil by mouth).
