Everyone who has had LLETZ treatment will need to have a cervical cytology test 6 months after their treatment.

Things you need to avoid
Drinking enough water can help avoid this problem.
Eat healthily and avoid smoking Try to eat a healthy varied diet and avoid smoking to help the healing process.
You should feel back to normal in 4 to 6 weeks and can expect to be back at work in 4 weeks.
The strapping can usually be removed within 3 weeks of the injury but full healing will often take 6 weeks.
Avoid constipation and being overweight as it can put extra strain on the pelvic floor muscles.
If you request the coil to be removed then your GP can insert a new one 6 weeks after your treatment.
Are there any foods I should avoid?
For the first 6 weeks to help your healing and avoid straining the surgery and your pelvic floor: Start your pelvic floor exercises.
Most people have a full recovery in about 4 to 6 weeks. You should follow the suggested exercises for at least 6 to 8 weeks.
To avoid further injury, contact sports such as football or rugby should not be attempted for 6 weeks.

Avoid spicy foods until you have proceeded to a normal diet.
Your symptoms may take 3 to 6 weeks to settle, but it can take several months for the elbow to feel normal again. Avoid sports for at least 6 weeks.
It is very important that you have a soft diet and avoid opening your jaw wide for at least 5 to 6 weeks. This will allow healing to take place.
